Essayist Durga Chew-Bose makes her debut adapting Françoise Sagan's novel of a daughter, a father and a summer that turns. It dresses old desire in vivid modern colour, with Chloë Sevigny in the cast. A current Mubi release and a good entry into contemporary literary adaptation. Watch it for the light.
